Certified French Green Lentils.
A vegetarian favourite, this nourishing wholefood provides high levels of protein and dietary fibre, while being naturally low in fat and sugar. Lentils readily absorb the flavours of the ingredients they are cooked with, making them super versatile. Green lentils have a robust, somewhat peppery flavour and take the longest to cook of the lentil family, but they keep a firm texture even after cooking. This makes them ideal for salads and other side dishes.
TO COOK: Rinse. Add 1 cup of lentils to 4 cups boiling water. Cover and simmer for 20-25 minutes, until tender.
